Electrical Technician – Power Plant

About the role

This role is for an electrical technician at an international power‑plant in Guanxi, Hsinchu. The incumbent will maintain, repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment and systems, supporting both high‑ and low‑voltage networks. The position is open to recent graduates with an electrical or electronic background.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and fault diagnosis on plant electrical equipment.
• Support high‑ and low‑voltage power system upkeep, including 161 kV GIS, transformers and low‑voltage distribution.
• Maintain and adjust motor‑operated valves and related electrical components.
• Test faulty devices, identify causes and replace relays, switches, controls, meters and recording instruments.
• Execute preventive‑maintenance programmes and manage spare‑parts inventory.
• Coordinate with subcontractors or conduct direct troubleshooting when required.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical field; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Experience in power‑plant, petrochemical or utilities maintenance is a plus.
• Knowledge of high‑voltage (480 V, 4.16 kV, 161 kV) and low‑voltage systems preferred.
• Familiarity with DC circuits, relay testing or electrical metering is advantageous.
• Good troubleshooting ability, willingness to learn and basic English reading skills.
• Availability to work weekends or public holidays when needed.
