Assistant Store Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Boutique Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring that Hermès standards of service and sales performance are consistently met. This role acts as the primary point of contact when the Boutique Manager is absent, maintaining smooth execution of procedures and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Take charge of the store in the Boutique Manager’s absence, ensuring all procedures and systems are followed.
• Coordinate rollout of central projects and tools within the store.
• Assist in preparing monthly business and commission reports for management.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate a retail team, setting objectives, providing feedback, and organizing training sessions.
• Manage floor operations, allocate resources according to client flow, and drive sales performance.
• Maintain high‑level customer service, greet clients according to Hermès standards, and handle VIP relationships.
• Oversee CRM activities, support clienteling, and resolve level‑2 customer complaints.
• Collaborate with the Sales & Service Support Team on rosters and back‑up planning.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage a retail team and motivate staff.
• Strong organizational skills for scheduling, reporting, and project coordination.
• Excellent communication skills for briefing teams and handling customer issues.
• Capacity to act as a role model in sales and customer interaction.
