Application Engineer (Customer Interface) - Hsinchu

About the role

IMS Nanofabrication, a global semiconductor equipment company headquartered in Austria with subsidiaries in Taiwan, South Korea and the USA, is hiring an Application Engineer (Customer Interface) in Hsinchu. The role acts as the customer-facing point of contact for the performance of its advanced nano-lithography machines, including multi-beam mask writers.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the customer contact window to keep equipment performance within required specifications.
• Regularly monitor, analyse and troubleshoot machine performance.
• Provide first-line application support by controlling the multi-beam mask writer.
• Document and report to internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and the rollout of new features.
• Lead technical escalations and act as the communication link between support lines in Taiwan and headquarters in Austria.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, ideally customer-facing.
• Excellent English.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
• Tech-savvy and interested in personal development.
