Anti-Fraud Payments Risk Analyst Team Lead

About the role

Hytech is seeking an experienced Anti-Fraud Payments Risk Analyst Team Lead to establish and manage a Payment Risk Analysis function. The role safeguards the payment ecosystems of multiple global brands by overseeing the full fraud analytics lifecycle, from threat identification to AI‑driven model validation.

Key responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high‑performance Payment Risk Analysis team, setting priorities and allocating resources.
• Lead complex fraud investigations, major incident reviews, and post‑incident root‑cause analyses, translating findings into actionable loss‑prevention strategies.
• Design, test, validate, and implement new payment fraud detection rules while continuously optimizing existing logic and thresholds.
• Oversee AI‑assisted fraud detection initiatives, including scenario validation, model performance assessment, detection logic enhancement, and data‑quality reviews.
• Own fraud intelligence reporting, executive dashboards, and business insights, delivering clear recommendations to senior management across multiple brands.
• Monitor fraud trends and transaction behaviour to identify emerging risks, attack patterns, control gaps, and opportunities to improve detection coverage.
• Partner with Fraud Operations, Payments, Engineering, Product, Compliance, Business Intelligence, and Data teams to implement fraud‑control enhancements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in payment fraud risk, fraud analytics, transaction monitoring, or a related risk‑management function.
• Proven people‑management experience with the ability to build, lead, and develop a fraud risk analysis team.
• Strong knowledge of payment fraud typologies, detection strategies, rules and threshold optimization, and investigation methodologies.
• Hands‑on analytical capabilities, including experience working with large transaction datasets, dashboards, and analytics.
