Android Software Engineer (Kotlin) – Mobile FinTech

About the role

We are seeking an Android Software Engineer to join BJAK’s mobile team in Taiwan. You will help shape the next‑generation financial and insurance experience for millions of users across Southeast Asia, delivering clean, fast, and reliable Android features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Create seamless mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals and broader financial services.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to simplify complex user journeys.
• Integrate backend REST APIs, ensuring stability, security and reliability of the app.
• Optimize performance, crash rates, loading states, responsiveness and memory usage.
• Leverage analytics and production data to continuously improve the product.
• Implement AI‑assisted experiences with on‑device TensorFlow Lite where they add genuine value.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional Android development experience using Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of Android fundamentals and experience shipping production‑grade apps.
• Proficiency with Jetpack libraries, Coroutines, Flow and modern Android architecture.
• Solid grasp of mobile UX, edge‑case handling and user‑flow design.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and troubleshooting production issues.
