Accounting Specialist

About the role

Coface, a global trade credit insurer and business information provider, is hiring an Accounting Specialist in Taipei. The role supports all finance and accounting activities in Taiwan, working closely with regional and global finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable cycles with accuracy and compliance with internal controls
• Perform bank, intercompany and tax reconciliations between portal data and accounting books
• Support post-life of IFRS 17 implementation and reporting, aligning financial data with actuarial inputs
• Assist with local tax compliance (VAT, withholding tax) and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities
• Support the E-procurement process, including vendor onboarding, purchase orders, invoice matching and compliance with procurement policies
• Prepare documentation for regulatory filings and remittances, and support month-end and year-end closing, including accrual postings and financial statement preparation
• Collaborate with regional and global finance teams on consistent accounting practices and report submissions, and assist in internal and external audits

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
• Native-level Mandarin and conversant English
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Required skills

• Accounting software such as SAP Concur or SAGE
• MS Excel
• Familiarity with E-procurement systems is a plus
