Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Accounting Specialist will ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions, support month‑end closing, and maintain compliance with tax regulations. This role works closely with internal teams to reconcile accounts, manage cash flow, and provide timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable: record supplier transactions, schedule payments, and reconcile with the general ledger.
• Handle accounts receivable: record customer invoices, manage collections, issue statements, and perform AR aging analysis.
• Manage inventory and cost accounting: record purchases, returns, depreciation, and reconcile stock values.
• Oversee fixed assets: record acquisitions/disposals, calculate monthly depreciation, and conduct annual physical counts.
• Administer IFRS 16 lease accounting, including contract review and system uploads.
• Reconcile shop sales between POS and ERP, and assist with cash and credit‑card transaction reconciliation.
• Perform bank reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and support month‑end/quarter‑end closing.
• Prepare tax filings: monthly withholding tax payments, VAT reports, and yearly withholding statements.
• Conduct physical inventory counts and variance analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of financial accounting experience in a multinational environment; CPA‑firm experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong written and spoken English.
