Software Engineer II - Blockchain

About the role

Circle is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Blockchain team and build the core infrastructure that connects Circle products to blockchain networks. You will develop and operate the shared platform that powers multi‑chain transaction construction, account access, indexing, and transaction notifications.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services supporting Circle products across 40+ blockchain networks.
• Develop reusable blockchain capabilities that simplify integration of blockchain functionality for engineering teams worldwide.
• Research and evaluate blockchain protocols and technologies to enable reliable cross‑chain solutions.
• Build well‑tested, production‑quality systems with a strong focus on correctness, security, observability, and reliability.
• Monitor and continuously improve the availability, latency, scalability, and performance of blockchain infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0‑4+ years of backend software development experience, ideally using Golang or a similar language.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and experience with SQL databases and schema design.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure, as well as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong focus on correctness, security, testing, observability, and reliability when developing production‑quality software.
• Written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese.
