Senior Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a results‑driven Senior Project Engineer to oversee end‑to‑end technical solution delivery for turnkey railway projects during both the bidding and contract execution phases. The position focuses on complex international or consortium‑based projects, requiring advanced expertise in technical solution implementation, design cost control, document management, and stakeholder collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of overall technical solutions during bidding and contract award, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.
• Oversee on‑time, on‑quality, and on‑budget delivery of all contractual technical milestones, monitoring progress and mitigating delays.
• Maintain up‑to‑date project documentation, including interface specifications, configuration management records, and requirements traceability matrices.
• Manage technical change requests, risk identification, assessment, and mitigation, and ensure configuration and document management processes are followed.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with customers, regulatory authorities, and consortium partners, coordinating with internal functional teams for seamless integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Railway Systems, or Signalling Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of railway engineering experience, including at least 7 years on complex international turnkey projects and 2 years delivering such projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time across APAC and other regions.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Required skills

• Expertise in railway onboard systems and Automatic Train Protection (ATP) systems.
• Experience with SIG‑ATC integration and driverless UTO systems.
• Proficiency in wiring, pneumatic, and mechanical installation standards.
• Configuration management, document management, design verification, and verification & validation processes.
• Technical risk management and change control.
