Head of Technology Taiwan

About the role

As Head of Technology for ANZ in Taiwan, you will lead the technology function, aligning it with business priorities, divisional goals and global strategies. You will ensure safe, reliable delivery of technology services while meeting regulatory and risk requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Act as trusted technology advisor to the Country Senior Management Team, providing strategic leadership and partnership.
• Oversee delivery of secure, reliable, and resilient technology services supporting business performance.
• Manage technology budgets, investment priorities and service costs to maximise value.
• Develop partnerships with business, operations and regional technology stakeholders to align local needs with global strategy.
• Establish and maintain technology governance, service management and operational frameworks.
• Lead technology risk and control culture, ensuring security, integrity and availability of systems.
• Engage with local regulators to ensure compliance and manage audits.
• Provide leadership to the Taiwan Technology team, building capability and delivering application services and initiatives.
• Oversee performance of local, outsourced and cloud‑based technology services to meet quality and compliance standards.
• Serve as Country Information Security Officer, overseeing technology risk, cybersecurity governance and outsourcing arrangements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in banking or financial services, leading complex technology functions and large application portfolios.
• Proven track record operating in highly regulated environments, balancing business outcomes, delivery and risk.
• Strong executive communication and influencing skills, with experience presenting to senior governance forums.
• Expertise in technology service management, governance frameworks and global standard processes.
• Experience managing outsourced, offshore and cloud‑based technology services and vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technology risk, compliance and control activities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, building trusted relationships across business and technology.
• Commercial acumen with experience managing technology budgets and investment decisions.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and verbal.
