Mechanical Structural Design and Analysis Engineer

About the role

Google’s Pixel team is looking for a Mechanical Structural Design and Analysis Engineer to join its Simulation Center of Excellence in Taiwan. You will work in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment, applying creativity and deep engineering expertise to develop next‑generation mobile devices.

Key responsibilities

• Generate FEA and analytical models for mechanical parts, modules, and assemblies.
• Perform static, dynamic, structural, and thermal‑mechanical analyses.
• Own and drive material characterization and testing plans to support modeling efforts.
• Develop and enforce consistent modeling practices and validation techniques.
• Collaborate with vendors, cross‑functional teams, and external partners to bring designs from concept through to manufacturing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• At least 3 years of experience in structural mechanics and FEA simulation (static and dynamic).
• Experience with material non‑linear mechanics such as plasticity, viscoelasticity, hyperelasticity, and damage mechanics.
• 3 years of hands‑on use of simulation tools (Siemens NX, Creo, Hypermesh, Abaqus) and mechanical testing (tensile, compression, shear, quasi‑static, dynamic).
• Preferred experience with handheld, wearable, or consumer‑electronics devices and knowledge of biomedical human‑to‑device interaction.
