CMF Execution Designer

About the role

Google is looking for a CMF Execution Designer to turn colour, material and finish concepts into manufacturable products. You will work closely with industrial designers, material specialists and cross‑functional teams to ensure design intent is realised at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Transform CMF design intents into mass‑producible realities by evaluating manufacturing feasibility.
• Lead end‑to‑end colour‑matching workflows and establish physical colour standards.
• Collaborate with ID, material/treatment specialists, ODMs, suppliers and finishing vendors on production lines.
• Detect subtle colour and finish variations to optimise quality.
• Provide feedback and direction to design work across multiple hardware projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 4 years of product or UX design experience and 6 years of CMF execution, colour‑matching or surface‑finishing engineering in the hardware industry.
• Experience working directly with JDM/ODM suppliers and finishing vendors.
• Fluent communication in English and Mandarin.
• Portfolio or work samples demonstrating CMF expertise.
