Senior EMC Design Engineer (Hybrid, Taiwan)

About the role

HPE is seeking a Senior EMC Design Engineer to support the design, debugging, and validation of electromagnetic compatibility for next‑generation networking products. The role is hybrid, requiring on‑site work in an HPE office two days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Review and recommend schematic designs, components, and CAD layouts to minimise EM radiation and mitigate EMI issues.
• Guide mechanical designs to maximise shielding effectiveness of chassis or enclosures.
• Perform EMC testing, troubleshoot failures, and develop test plans and prototype allocation requirements.
• Collaborate with hardware, power, thermal, signal‑integrity, test teams and program managers, and support ODM partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Advanced coursework in electromagnetic theory or physics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of international EMC standards (CISPR, IEC, EN, ETSI, GR, DT, BT, KN) and certification procedures.

Required skills

• Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) design and testing.
• Schematic and component selection (capacitors, inductors, ferrites, common‑mode chokes).
• CAD layout optimisation (stack‑ups, trace routing, crosstalk mitigation).
• Mechanical shielding design.
• Familiarity with international EMC standards and certification processes.
