Systems Administrator III – Enterprise Infrastructure

About the role

As a Systems Administrator III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will maintain and optimize critical infrastructure and applications, supporting the company’s mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You will manage complex enterprise systems across cloud and on‑premises environments, driving automation and contributing to digital transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in enterprise systems administration and infrastructure management.
• Professional certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, ITIL) are advantageous.
• Strong incident management, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to participate in rotating on‑call coverage and work within ITIL change‑management processes.

Required skills

• Administration of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, and Shell.
• Database administration for Oracle and SQL Server.
• Experience with monitoring tools, security controls, patch management, and infrastructure‑as‑code/configuration‑management tools.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and ITIL processes.
