System Engineer – Advanced Semiconductor Systems

About the role

As a Systems Engineer at Applied Materials you will design, integrate, and optimize complex semiconductor systems that drive the industry forward. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop advanced solutions, write system specifications, and ensure high‑quality performance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot complex engineering problems, providing field support for customer escalations and critical business needs.
• Define and design complex components, modules, and subsystems, ensuring they meet market requirement specifications.
• Lead architecture brainstorming sessions and drive the selection of final subsystem architectures.
• Build and qualify prototypes, or procure subsystems from suppliers, testing for compliance with detailed specifications.
• Support system integration during assembly and final testing, performing reliability tests and implementing design changes as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience with metroloy tools and CDSEM equipment.
