Staff Signal Integrity Engineer

About the role

Supermicro is seeking a Staff Signal Integrity Engineer to join its server motherboard development team. The role focuses on ensuring robust high‑speed designs for DDR4/5, PCIe Gen4/5 and Ethernet interfaces in cutting‑edge data‑center products.

Key responsibilities

• Design high‑speed SerDes Ethernet channels for network switches.
• Execute signal‑integrity validation against system requirements and produce formal reports.
• Perform electrical analysis, SI simulations, and document findings for review.
• Collaborate with electronics engineers to resolve SI issues and conduct lab debug.
• Guide design techniques and best practices on assigned projects.

Required profile

• More than 9 years of experience in signal‑integrity engineering.
• Master’s degree in a related engineering field (preferred).
• Self‑motivated with a results‑driven mindset.

Required skills

• High‑speed SerDes Ethernet design.
• Signal‑integrity validation and simulation.
• Use of measurement equipment such as TDR, VNA, and switch analyzers.
• Proficiency with SI tools: ADS, ANSYS SIWave, HFSS, Cadence Sigrity.
• Experience with PCB layout tools.
