Staff Product Designer (Marketplace)

About the role

Coupang is expanding its business into the Taiwan e-commerce market and is looking for a Staff Product Designer within its Global Expansion UX team. The role leads 2-5 designers and owns the full product creation process, from ideation to final development, in a rapidly changing business environment. It works closely with development, Product Managers, marketing, legal and HR teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall design projects while communicating with Business, Engineering and Product teams.
• Proactively establish product vision and roadmap and take a strategic role in decision-making.
• Collaborate with other design leaders to improve processes across Product UX teams.
• Identify and analyze problems in current products and services to set improvement priorities.
• Assure design quality and suggest directions for improvement.
• Contribute to large and small projects and strategies, and help cultivate team culture and establish processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, HCI, Computer Science, Psychology or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in product design.
• Experience leading other designers in team-level projects and building project strategy and deliverables.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.

Required skills

• Excellent portfolio of typography, interaction design, visual design and user research.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Zeppelin or Adobe.
