Software Manager

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is hiring a Software Manager in Hsinchu. The RAPID division, which provides reticle inspection solutions to mask shops and semiconductor fabs, is looking for a manager who leads field support and customer escalation, guides the team in building scalable, high-performance software, and drives technical decisions aligned with product and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead field support and customer escalation activities.
• Develop deep expertise in software architecture, system behavior and tool operation.
• Guide the team in designing scalable, maintainable, high-performance software solutions.
• Drive technical decision-making and ensure alignment with product and business objectives.
• Coach and mentor team members, prioritize work, manage escalations and schedules, and deliver commitments on time.
• Foster continuous improvement across engineering processes, development tools and software workflows.
• Build a high-performing team through talent development, collaboration and accountability.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, focused on collaboration, communication and developing high-performing teams.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven expertise in C++, object-oriented design and software architecture/design patterns.
• Proficiency in Linux-based development and software debugging in complex systems.
• Prior work in the semiconductor equipment industry is a plus.

Preferred qualifications

• Strong background in data analysis, including statistical techniques and predictive modeling.
• Experience building or deploying AI/ML models, especially with large datasets.
