Ships Agency Operator

About the role

Wilhelmsen is looking for a proactive Ships Agency Operator to join its global team in Kaohsuing. You will be responsible for coordinating port calls, ensuring compliance with SOPs, and delivering cost‑effective vessel operations for our principals.

Key responsibilities

• Attend and board vessels as directed, following SOPs and customer requirements.
• Coordinate all aspects of assigned port calls, including contractor selection and quotation submission.
• Maintain accurate vessel files and update transactional systems in real time using the WASP platform.
• Monitor vessel status, handle follow‑up enquiries, and ensure proper pre‑funding approvals.
• Track and record expenses, manage cash‑in‑transit procedures, and approve supplier invoices.
• Report business opportunities, port updates, and lead information to the Manager.
• Adhere to WPS PPE standards and QHSSE requirements, using TAKE 5 where appropriate.

Required profile

• Experience in maritime or port operations with a strong understanding of SOPs and port services processes.
• Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation, funding approvals, and expense monitoring.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the WASP operating system.
• Knowledge of port call coordination and maritime logistics procedures.
• Cash handling and invoice approval experience.
