Senior Security Engineer, CPU and Platform Security Validation

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to validate CPU, firmware and operating‑system security on both pre‑silicon emulation platforms and post‑silicon hardware. The role works closely with security architects in France and collaborates with CPU design, firmware, software and system validation teams.

Key responsibilities

• Translate security architecture requirements into test plans, threat models and coverage goals for system‑level validation.
• Develop and execute tests for CPU security features such as SVUKTE, TRNG, CFI, privilege separation, isolation and memory protection.
• Validate Secure Boot, measured boot, TPMs, hardware Root of Trust, secure firmware updates and debug security on emulation, FPGA and real chips.
• Localize failures across firmware, OS, hardware and architecture and drive issues to root cause.
• Build automated validation tools and regression suites using scripting languages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience in CPU, SoC, firmware, platform security or silicon validation.
• Strong communication skills in English and experience working in international teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python and C/C++ (including reading low‑level code or assembly).
• Deep knowledge of Linux security and kernel hardening.
• Hands‑on experience with Secure Boot, Root of Trust, TPMs and measured boot.
• Experience with pre‑silicon emulation or FPGA platforms and post‑silicon validation.
