Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer

About the role

SummaryAlarm.com is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives from product development through sustained production. You will act as the primary quality liaison between engineering teams and manufacturing partners, ensuring that products meet design intent and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall manufacturing quality management program, including IQC, IPQC, OQC, FAI, GRR, OBA, and ORT processes.
• Develop and validate inspection, monitoring, and verification procedures for new products.
• Review supplier corrective action reports (SCARs) and 8‑D reports, implement training, and track continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with product managers on RMA claims, conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Work with test and production engineers to ensure consistent quality standards across all manufacturing sites.
• Support process simplification, optimization, and standardization to achieve stable, high‑yield production lines.
• Participate in strategic sourcing and partner selection based on component reliability and manufacturing quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electronic, or related engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing quality engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex quality programs.
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of successful root‑cause investigations.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and QA/QC practices.
• Experience with inspection methods such as IQC, IPQC, OQC, FAI, GRR, OBA, and ORT.
• Familiarity with supplier quality tools like SCAR and 8‑D reports.
• Ability to develop and validate SOPs for SMT, DIP, and FATP processes.
