Senior Demand Planner

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Demand Planner to lead the forecasting and demand planning process for our business unit in Taiwan. The role ensures accurate forecasts, optimal stock levels and high service performance while supporting new product launches and promotions.

Key responsibilities

• Define forecasts and lead the forecast planning process, maximizing service levels and optimizing stocks.
• Manage the business‑unit catalogue in the forecast system and coordinate new product releases and promotions with sales and marketing.
• Analyze sales forecast evolution, conduct weekly reviews, and build forecast proposals based on historical data.
• Ensure the forecast process is followed by Marketing, Sales and Controlling and that validated forecasts are integrated into information systems.
• Calculate and analyse gaps between forecasts and actual sales, providing indicators with reasons and business impact.
• Coordinate discontinued‑product processes and establish demand plans based on validated forecasts.
• Validate logistical feasibility, exchange with mid‑term supply planning on capacity and demand matching.
• Define demand‑planning parameters considering service levels, stock levels and overall supply‑chain costs.
• Plan local sub‑contracting activities and ensure successful product launches and promotional availability.
• Manage local and upstream stock levels, analyse excess/obsolete inventory, and report out‑of‑stock situations daily.
• Calculate service‑level indicators, report internally and to international logistics, and support stock channeling between sub‑contracting and sales.
• Develop flow‑planning practices to create a competitive advantage.

Required profile

• Proven experience in demand planning, forecasting and supply‑chain management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and forecast gaps.
• Excellent coordination abilities to work with sales, marketing, controlling and logistics teams.
• Knowledge of stock‑management principles and service‑level optimization.
• Ability to handle product launches, promotions and discontinued‑product processes.
