Senior Commercial Learning Trainer - da Vinci Surgical Systems

About the role

Intuitive, a pioneer and market leader in robotic-assisted surgery, is looking for an experienced Sales Trainer to support the training and development of its sales team for the da Vinci Surgical System. The role ensures the sales force has the knowledge and skills to communicate the value of the company's robotic surgical and diagnostic technologies. It is based in Taipei.

Key responsibilities

• Become a Subject Matter Expert of the da Vinci Surgical System and its instruments, accessories and advanced technology, and maintain expert-level certification
• Educate commercial employees on da Vinci instruments, advanced technology, Xi and SP systems, and technical and clinical value propositions, and assess technical, clinical and sales competency
• Become a Subject Matter Expert across general, colorectal, gynecologic, thoracic and urologic surgery, and educate colleagues on clinical procedures and value propositions
• Be a Subject Matter Expert on the Intuitive Clinical Sales Process and sales execution, and teach technical and clinical selling skills
• Facilitate live and remote training during onboarding and other sales programs, giving hands-on experience and immediate feedback
• Manage training programs, run field rides with field sales, and coach the sales team regularly
• Manage training logistics, track effectiveness and report on results, and collaborate with sales, marketing and content creators
• Design, plan and run Annual Commercial Meeting breakouts and field rides, and act as liaison between sales and other departments

Required profile

• Chinese and English speaking
• Previous selling experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in business, education, life sciences or a related field
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in sales and/or sales training, preferably in the medical device industry
• Ability to travel up to 30% for field training, APAC CAST and company meetings

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of robotic surgical system technologies is highly desirable
• Proven ability to design and deliver effective training programs, especially live facilitation
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills
