Security Researcher (Mobile Threat Analyst)

About the role

McAfee is seeking an experienced Security Researcher to design and deliver robust, scalable security solutions focused on mobile platforms. The role involves real‑time analysis of cyber threats, creating protective technologies, and helping customers stay safe online.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate threats and vulnerabilities affecting Android and iOS mobile platforms.
• Conduct low‑level analysis of malware, devices, and operating systems.
• Produce research content such as blogs, conference papers, and technical presentations.
• Explore and develop next‑generation mobile threat protection technologies.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to strengthen McAfee’s security solutions.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of hands‑on security research experience with Android, iOS, or Linux.
• Proficiency in Android or iOS debugging techniques and assembly‑level analysis.
• Ability to reverse‑engineer Java bytecode, Dalvik, and ELF files using tools such as IDA Pro or JEB.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS).
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, innovative mindset.
