Principal, Retail Financial Partner

About the role

Coupang's Taiwan Finance team acts as a finance business partner for Coupang Taiwan's business teams, owning financial results by defining and tracking business input/output metrics with stakeholders and improving them through root-cause analysis. The company is hiring a Principal Business Partner focused on the Retail domain as its business grows rapidly in Taiwan.

Key responsibilities

• Identify the key input/output metrics that impact Retail P&L.
• Set ambitious goals for the team and yourself and implement concrete plans to achieve them, even in ambiguous or complex situations.
• Track the metrics, analyse their trends and results, and give stakeholders business and financial visibility.
• Give stakeholders continuous feedback, raise flags and recommend corrective measures to deliver outstanding results.
• Perform root-cause analysis by retrieving the right data and digging deep.

Required profile

• 7-12+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis in a fast-paced, technology-oriented organization (eCommerce preferred).
• Retail or commercial finance partner experience (required).
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, with a strong business sense and willingness to work in a fast-paced, growing environment.
• Fluent in English and traditional Mandarin, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Ability to gather, analyse and organise large amounts of data and turn it into insights and recommendations.
• Strong Excel skills (required).
• Preferred: MBA, strong SQL and PowerBI skills.
