Platform Engineer – Smart TV & OTT Solutions

About the role

Titan OS is seeking a Platform Engineer to join its TV Platform team. You will help shape next‑generation Smart TV experiences, working on video advertising flows, FAST channel playback, browser integration, and OTT streaming solutions across connected TV devices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain launcher video advertising control flows and FAST channel playback features.
• Implement and enhance browser integration within the TV platform ecosystem.
• Design, develop, and optimise HTML‑based OTT streaming playback solutions.
• Build platform‑level features that extend Smart TV capabilities.
• Integrate device functionality with backend services using HTTP/HTTPS and JSON.
• Ensure smooth playback across various streaming technologies and content formats.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional, globally distributed teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience developing applications or platform features for Smart TVs, connected devices, or embedded systems.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, globally distributed environment.

Required skills

• C and/or C++ development.
• HTML5 and JavaScript for UI/UX implementation.
• Linux‑based TV operating systems.
• HTTP/HTTPS protocols and JSON communication.
• Media Source Extensions (MSE) and Encrypted Media Extensions (EME).
• MPEG‑DASH streaming technology.
• Understanding of video playback architectures and streaming control flows.
