Operation Engineer (Cylinder Filling Plant)

About the role

Air Liquide Far Eastern (ALFE), a joint venture between Air Liquide and Far Eastern New Century Group established in 1987, is hiring an Operation Engineer for its cylinder filling plant in the East District of Taipei. The role covers the daily filling operations, cylinder handling, HSE and quality compliance, documentation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out filling operations according to the operations plan: safe start-up and shut-down, cylinder connection and disconnection, valve manipulation, analysis, batch numbering, labelling and traceability paperwork, and corrective actions when parameters are not optimized.
• Control parameters, perform tests and check physical data to optimize production in quality and quantity.
• Handle empty cylinders: unloading trucks, sorting, checking test dates and condition, and positioning them in the empty buffer zone; pick full cylinders according to customer orders and load trucks, including forklift activity for secondary distribution.
• Maintain the loader and carry out routine maintenance.
• Ensure HSE and quality compliance: lock-out and confined space procedures, use of protective equipment, participation in safety meetings, emergency response and keeping management informed of safety issues.
• Respect quality procedures for process and final product analysis.
• Enter daily production data into the system, track production events, complete incident reports and study SOPs, P&ID and PFD drawings and other technical documentation.
• Contribute to process improvement through incident analysis, risk detection and proposals for safety or productivity improvements.

Required profile

• Ability to follow plant daily operation procedures and execute plant HSE requirements.
• Ability to follow plant IMS requirements and manage daily document processes.
• Willingness to take on special task assignments from managers.
