Online Mandarin Teacher (Remote, Hourly + Commission)

About the role

Asia Pathway is seeking a dynamic Mandarin teacher to deliver engaging online lessons to Western learners. The position is fully remote and combines a guaranteed hourly rate with performance‑based commission for student acquisition and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group Mandarin lessons via video platforms.
• Develop and promote a personal teaching brand on social media and tutoring marketplaces such as Preply, iTalki, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create content that attracts new learners.
• Guide motivated students toward study, work, and scholarship opportunities in Taiwan and other Asian destinations.

Required profile

• Fluent English (IELTS ~7.5 or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of full‑time experience teaching Mandarin online, both one‑on‑one and group formats.
• Demonstrated ability to build a personal brand and manage social‑media or platform marketing.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take on new challenges.
• Comfortable working independently in a results‑driven remote environment.
