Noon Hour Supervisor

About the role

The Noon Hour Supervisor ensures a safe, orderly, and positive environment for students during lunch and recess periods. Working directly with students in the cafeteria, playground, and indoor common areas, the supervisor promotes respectful interactions and supports school policies during unstructured times.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch, manage seating, and monitor cafeteria activities.
• Oversee recess, promote safe play, mediate conflicts, and encourage inclusive activities.
• Enforce school rules and behavior guidelines consistently.
• Assist students with lunch items, clean up spills, and respond to minor injuries.
• Communicate safety or behavioral concerns to school staff and report maintenance issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized environment in lunch and recess areas.
• Cover multiple areas of the playground and cafeteria, using spatial awareness.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or assistant principal.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Supportive, patient, and encouraging demeanor with students.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Calm, assertive group management with tact and respect.
• Friendly, approachable, and reliable with punctual attendance.
• Willingness to complete basic first‑aid training and respond to minor incidents.
