Materials Management Specialist

About the role

The Materials Management Specialist supports the Church’s operations across Taiwan and other Asian locations by handling travel services, fleet management, and procurement activities. The role works closely with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth, cost‑effective delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain and manage visas for travelers, maintaining relationships with consulates and embassies.
• Coordinate travel itineraries, accommodations, and ground transportation.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with travel management companies, airlines, shuttle services, and hotels.
• Oversee fleet planning, purchasing, maintenance, monitoring, and disposal throughout Taiwan.
• Partner with departments to develop procurement plans and strategies under the Area Procurement Manager.
• Source, vet, and select vendors; manage purchases and supplier relations.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure compliance with local disposal legislation.
• Analyze data, prepare reports and presentations, and provide recommendations on support services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; at least three years of related work experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Strong business sense with solid organizational, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and build professional relationships.
• Driving licence holder preferred and ability to travel within Asia as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
