About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Logistics Operations professional to manage import and export customs declarations and clearance for air and ocean shipments at its Tainan location. The role supports the company’s global supply chain by ensuring compliance with Taiwan customs regulations and efficient movement of high‑tech equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle import and export customs declaration and clearance for air and ocean shipments.
• Prepare and submit various customs declarations, including general import/export, bonded cargo, logistics center in‑bond/out‑bond, and transfer shipments.
• Manage bonded warehouse and logistics center customs operations in compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and internal logistics teams to ensure smooth clearance.
• Review and verify shipping and customs documents such as invoices, packing lists, B/L, AWB, COO, and permits.
• Support customs inspections, document amendments, exception handling, and follow‑up actions.
• Maintain accurate records, filing, and system updates for customs activities.
• Assist with customs audits, AEO/self‑declaration compliance, and internal control requirements.

Required profile

• Licensed Customs Declaration Specialist certified by the Ministry of Examination.
• Over 5 years of customs brokerage experience with independent clearance and inspection handling.
• Hands‑on experience in import/export customs clearance and familiarity with Single Window/EDI systems.
• Solid knowledge of bonded warehouse, bonded factory, or logistics center operations.
• Experience with AEO programs or self‑declared customs operations (preferred).
• Background in high‑tech equipment, machinery, or spare parts import/export.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work under time‑sensitive conditions and communicate effectively.

Required skills

• Licensed Customs Declaration Specialist certification.
• Single Window / EDI customs system proficiency.
• Bonded warehouse and logistics center operations expertise.
• Knowledge of Taiwan customs regulations and clearance procedures.
• Familiarity with AEO programs and self‑declaration compliance.
