IT Software Engineer – Operations AI

About the role

Micron Technology is seeking an experienced IT Software Engineer to join its Operations AI team. You will be responsible for supporting Tier 1 platforms, leveraging AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, and building self‑healing automation workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior‑level support for Tier 1 platforms such as API Gateway, Automation, FTP/MFT, Web, and Distribution, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Perform deep troubleshooting, analyze logs and configurations, handle emergency outages, and drive permanent fixes and platform hardening.
• Utilize AI assistants (e.g., Copilot, Claude) to speed up diagnosis, log analysis, and reduce mean‑time‑to‑repair.
• Design and implement AI‑driven automation, self‑healing workflows, and integrate AI into alerting, runbooks, and predictive operations.
• Collaborate with global engineering and support teams, manage escalations, and ensure smooth handoffs.
• Maintain and update documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge‑base articles, and provide training to broaden operations ownership.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Operations/DevOps with a strong track record of resolving complex multi‑layer incidents.
• Proficiency with AI tools for troubleshooting, coding, documentation, and prompt engineering as a default workflow.
• Excellent written English and documentation skills, with experience working in globally distributed teams.
