IT Platform Engineer

About the role

TSMC is seeking an IT Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable platform services that support R&D, fab, business, IT, and security functions. The role focuses on automation, cloud‑native application development, and proactive monitoring to improve productivity and work quality across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible and Python, and implement Infrastructure as Code for resource provisioning and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and build cloud‑native microservice architectures, refactor existing applications, and apply 12‑factor principles.
• Implement monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), conduct root‑cause analysis, and troubleshoot Linux and Go‑related issues.
• Optionally operate and manage network infrastructure including LAN, WLAN, firewalls, and proxies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in platform engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of critical thinking and effective cross‑functional collaboration.
