Inventory Manager

About the role

GMI Cloud is seeking an Inventory Manager to take full ownership of the physical custody and accuracy of its high‑value hardware inventory in Taiwan. This is a hands‑on role that manages the company’s own warehouse rather than an outsourced VMI arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day warehouse operations, including receiving, put‑away, picking, staging, dispatch and documented SOPs.
• Design storage layout, zoning and space planning for rack‑scale shipments, palletised server loads and oversized cargo.
• Maintain physical security and access control for high‑value storage areas and plan capacity against inbound schedules.
• Maintain serial‑level custody of GPUs, CPUs, optical transceivers, switches and other export‑controlled components, with chain‑of‑custody records for audit.
• Manage spares pool, RMA flow and DOA quarantine stock, investigating every variance to root cause.
• Own inventory accuracy KPI, run cycle‑count programs and full physical stock takes, reconciling WMS, ERP and ITAM records.
• Set and enforce min/max, safety stock and reorder triggers at SKU level according to demand planning.
• Coordinate with logistics on import/export documentation, IOR/EOR arrangements and HTS/ECCN classification.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience managing an owned warehouse, not an outsourced VMI model.
• Proven ability to investigate shrinkage and variance root causes.
• Familiarity with export‑controlled items and chain‑of‑custody requirements.
• Responsibility for high‑value SKUs and ability to maintain rigorous inventory controls.
