Integration Embedded Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Integration Embedded Engineer to join our Taipei engineering team. In this role you will develop and maintain software integrations with Smart TV manufacturers and platform partners, enabling Samba TV's ACR technology to run at scale on consumer devices worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate and deploy Samba TV's ACR client libraries and modules onto embedded Linux and Android TV systems.
• Port the ACR solution to new hardware platforms, handling diverse SoC architectures and driver interfaces.
• Work within audio and video frameworks on Linux and Android to capture and process media streams reliably.
• Debug and resolve software defects, performance bottlenecks, and complex hardware/software integration issues.
• Prototype and implement on‑device machine‑learning models for future AI‑powered TV features.
• Measure performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimise solutions for resource‑constrained embedded environments.

Required profile

• Hands‑on builder with a bias for action and a proactive attitude.
• Analytical problem‑solver who uses data and logic to dissect complex issues.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming.
• Java development.
• Embedded Linux and Android TV (AOSP) environments.
• Cross‑compilers and build systems such as CMake.
• Python or shell scripting for automation.
• Version control with Git.
• Familiarity with on‑device AI frameworks (TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch Mobile) is a plus.
