Full-time Faculty Position in Library & Information Science

About the role

The Department of Library and Information Science at National Taiwan University is hiring two full‑time faculty members. Successful candidates will join a vibrant academic community and contribute to teaching, research, and service in library and information science.

Key responsibilities

• Teach required courses in Library and Information Science (LIS) at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Develop course plans, syllabi, and instructional materials covering a 16‑week semester.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in reputable journals or book series.
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic events.
• Present research findings to faculty during the selection process.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in LIS, information management, communication, educational technology, or related fields.
• Ability to teach core LIS courses.
• Strong record of scholarly publications (at least two journal articles/book chapters or one monograph; dissertation may count for assistant‑professor rank).
• Relevant teaching or research experience.

Required skills

• Academic writing and publishing.
• Curriculum design for higher‑education courses.
