Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Samba, a media intelligence company, is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join its Taipei engineering team. You will help design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and services that power Samba's data and advertising products, reaching audiences worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive web user interfaces with React for Android TV and embedded Linux devices, supporting remote‑control navigation.
• Build and integrate Node.js back‑end services and APIs that connect the UI to Samba’s data platform.
• Optimize performance for constrained TV hardware, addressing limited memory, CPU, and older webview engines.
• Debug and resolve defects across the front‑end, back‑end, and device layers using logging and analysis tools.
• Collaborate with TV Platform, AI, design, and product teams to deliver cohesive features.
• Prototype and integrate AI‑powered enhancements into the viewer experience.

Required profile

• Hands‑on builder with a bias for action and a proactive attitude.
• Analytical problem‑solver who uses data and logic to uncover root causes.
• Mid‑level engineer eager to deepen full‑stack expertise in a data‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ECMAScript (JavaScript) and the Node.js ecosystem.
• Strong experience with React.js and its ecosystem.
• Familiarity with TypeScript (optional but beneficial).
