Financial & Regulatory Reporting Specialist

About the role

UBS is seeking a motivated Financial & Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join its Finance Entity Controlling team at the Taipei Branch. The role focuses on regulatory and statutory financial reporting, ensuring compliance with local and international requirements while supporting the bank’s controlling functions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison with local regulators, auditors, and global reporting teams.
• Lead the preparation, review, and submission of all regulatory returns to the Central Bank, Financial Supervisory Commission and other authorities.
• Maintain reporting governance, documentation, methodologies, assumptions and interpretation papers.
• Coordinate daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly regulatory reporting cycles and provide analysis and commentary on significant metric movements.
• Implement new reporting requirements and regulatory reforms, supporting business initiatives, system changes and process improvements.
• Assist in preparing audit materials and annual financial statements, ensure ledger integrity and support monthly financial close activities.
• Prepare management information and internal reports for local committees and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Accounting qualification (CPA) or a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 7+ years of experience in Taiwan’s banking industry, including at least 3 years in bank regulatory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of local regulatory and tax rules, banking products, balance sheets and wealth‑management business.
• Senior Securities Specialist license is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
