Facility Manager

About the role

Corning's Photonics Connectivity Solutions (PCS) business is looking for a Facility Manager to lead laboratory and office space selection, site setup, and ongoing facility operations. You will work closely with a global engineering team to ensure the physical environment meets strict cleanroom, safety, and building requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the physical setup of office and laboratory spaces, including partitioning, security integration, and readiness planning.
• Evaluate building specifications such as floor loading, vibration standards, utilities, and cleanroom needs.
• Manage environmental and safety compliance, covering chemical handling, waste management, cleanroom access, and laboratory safety controls.
• Liaise with building administration, local site teams, and external contractors to track permits, risks, and budget assumptions.
• Support Process and Equipment teams on tool installation, utilities, exhaust, and floor stability.
• Maintain lab and office operating procedures, access controls, and service schedules.

Required profile

• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in facility management, laboratory or cleanroom setup, manufacturing site operations, or EHS.
• Proven experience coordinating equipment installation, utilities, and contractor activities.
• Strong planning, vendor coordination, documentation, and cross‑functional communication skills.
