Facilities Technician

About the role

As a Facilities Technician at CBRE, you will support the upkeep of small to medium‑sized commercial buildings, ensuring that mechanical, electrical, and other building systems operate reliably. You will work under close supervision, following established procedures to deliver preventive maintenance and timely repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine inspections, diagnose potential issues, and execute corrective actions.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders, track completion using internal systems, and document activities.
• Support energy management by ensuring efficient operation of building systems.
• Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1‑2 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Ability to meet physical demands such as stooping, standing, climbing ladders, and lifting loads of 50 lb or more.
• Capability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Strong communication skills for clear, concise information exchange.
• Organizational mindset with an inquisitive approach to tasks.
