Electrical Technician (廠務機電工程師)

About the role

This position is for an Electrical Technician at an international power plant. The role focuses on maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of plant electrical equipment and offers a pathway into the energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and fault diagnosis on high‑ and low‑voltage power systems, including GIS 161 kV, transformers and low‑voltage equipment.
• Maintain and adjust motor‑operated valves and related electrical components.
• Test faulty equipment, identify causes of malfunction and replace relays, switches, controls, indicators, meters and recording instruments.
• Support preventive maintenance programmes and manage spare‑parts inventory for plant electrical assets.
• Coordinate with subcontractors or conduct direct troubleshooting when required.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical field; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Experience in power‑plant, petrochemical‑plant or utilities maintenance is a plus.
• Basic English reading ability; ability to work on weekends or public holidays when needed.

Required skills

• Knowledge of high‑voltage (161 kV) and low‑voltage (480 V, 4.16 kV) electrical systems.
• Familiarity with GIS equipment, transformers and DC circuit testing.
• Relay testing and electrical metering experience.
• Motor‑operated valve maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and preventive‑maintenance skills.
