Datacenter Server CPU Platform Architect

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Datacenter Compute Platform Architect to own the system architecture surrounding our cutting‑edge silicon. You will define end‑to‑end server platforms that deliver peak performance, efficiency, and reliability for cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Define compute system architectures for workstation, 1U/2U, multi‑node, and OCP form factors.
• Architect system‑level power delivery networks (PDN/VRM) and collaborate on advanced thermal solutions, including air and liquid cooling.
• Define high‑speed I/O and memory topologies for LPDDR5/6, PCIe Gen 5/6, and CXL, ensuring signal and power integrity at the board level.
• Design server management and security architectures, including BMC, OpenBMC integration, hardware Root of Trust, SPDM, and TPM.
• Partner with silicon, BIOS/UEFI, OS, and firmware teams to co‑design ACPI tables, RAS flows, and power‑management states.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for Tier‑1 ODMs, OEMs, and cloud service providers to validate and deploy platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in server system architecture, motherboard design, or datacenter hardware engineering.
• Deep knowledge of x86, ARM, or RISC‑V server/SoC architectures and AI compute engines.
• Expertise in datacenter connectivity standards (PCIe, CXL, Ethernet) and memory technologies (DDR4/5, LPDDR).
• Strong background guiding SI/PI teams and understanding high‑speed PCB physical limits.
• Solid grasp of server manageability standards (IPMI, Redfish, NC‑SI) and BMC architectures.
