Construction HVAC Supervisor

About the role

The Construction HVAC Supervisor will lead on‑site installation of heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications. This position is pivotal for coordinating contractors, maintaining quality control, and supporting testing and commissioning activities on construction sites.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on‑site HVAC installation according to construction plans and specifications.
• Verify that all HVAC work complies with local regulations, safety standards and engineering best practices.
• Inspect ductwork, piping, equipment setup and insulation to guarantee proper installation.
• Collaborate with contractors, suppliers and other engineering disciplines to resolve on‑site issues.
• Monitor project schedule, quality and cost control for HVAC activities.
• Conduct site meetings, prepare progress reports and maintain inspection records.
• Assist with system testing, commissioning and handover processes.
• Support final documentation and project handover activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in HVAC construction, preferably in industrial or clean‑room facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC engineering drawings and construction documents.
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations and HVAC system codes.
• Fluent Chinese (native) and basic English proficiency.

Required skills

• AutoCAD or similar design software.
• HVAC system design and installation knowledge (chilled water, air handling units, ventilation, duct design).
• Interpretation of HVAC engineering drawings.
• Understanding of construction safety regulations.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes and standards.
