Construction Auditor

About the role

TSMC is seeking a Construction Auditor to lead financial, compliance, and operational audits of large‑scale construction projects. The role involves documenting processes, assessing risks, and ensuring that control measures are effective and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and document the construction processes under review.
• Identify and assess project risks and evaluate mitigating controls.
• Develop work plans to test the adequacy and effectiveness of controls.
• Gather, analyze, and transform data into actionable information.
• Communicate preliminary findings with project teams and support the development of remediation actions.
• Prepare clear audit reports highlighting findings, business impact, and improvement recommendations.
• Conduct periodic follow‑up to verify implementation of agreed‑upon actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent.
• More than 10 years of professional experience, including at least 7 years in architectural engineering.
• Extensive experience managing large‑scale construction projects (planning, cost, schedule, contracts, compliance, quality, safety).
• Hands‑on experience with construction procurement, contractor evaluation, bidding, negotiation, supervision, and acceptance.
• Strong knowledge of construction contract terms, progress appraisal, design change, claim processes, warranties, and retention.
• High integrity, objectivity, and ability to build client trust.
• Analytical, business‑oriented mindset with excellent written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin.
• Prior internal or external auditing experience is preferred.
