Civil Site Engineer – LNG Storage Tanks (Kaohsiung)

About the role

Balanced Engineering & Construction (BEC) is looking for an experienced Civil Site Engineer to join its Taiwan team on the Talin LNG Project. You will be responsible for the civil works of two 180,000‑kilolitre cryogenic LNG storage tanks at the Kaohsiung Intercontinental LNG Terminal, working alongside a multidisciplinary team delivering complex, large‑scale infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate civil and structural works for LNG cryogenic storage tanks, including foundations, concrete, and structural elements.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Plan daily work sequences, monitor progress, and ensure schedule adherence and quality compliance.
• Conduct inspections to verify compliance with technical and safety standards.
• Collaborate with construction, QA/QC, and HSE teams to resolve site challenges.
• Prepare site reports, progress documentation, and as‑built records.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards throughout all construction phases.
• Liaise with stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and keep progress on track.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil works on large‑scale industrial or energy projects.
• Experience with LNG, petrochemical, or cryogenic tank construction preferred.
• Strong understanding of concrete works, rebar, formwork, and tank foundation systems.
• Familiarity with international construction standards and safety procedures.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Mandarin speaking and writing preferred.
• Willingness to work full‑time on site in Kaohsiung.
