Assistant Manager – Operations

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Operations will manage and execute inventory, warehouse and fulfilment activities across a variety of warehouse types owned or operated by Maersk. The role combines technical expertise with the ability to coach less‑experienced staff and influence tactical decisions within the logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute inventory and warehouse operations, ensuring efficient fulfilment processes.
• Oversee day‑to‑day activities of lower‑level professionals, providing informal supervision and mentorship.
• Set objectives, monitor performance and deliver on individual work responsibilities while supporting more complex tasks with guidance.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and influence long‑term tactical decisions for the organization.

Required profile

• Previous work experience in a related logistics or warehouse environment, or practical knowledge obtained through advanced education.
• Ability to work independently within defined boundaries and apply practical methods, techniques, and work procedures.
• Strong project‑management capability and the capacity to influence others and support team priorities.
