UIR Operation Manager – Site Operations Lead

About the role

The UIR Operation Manager is responsible for end‑to‑end execution of site UIR activities, ensuring safe, predictable and high‑quality delivery that meets customer and business targets. This role serves as the primary operational contact for the site and drives continuous improvement across all processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own full site UIR operations (install, upgrade, relocation) and deliver on safety, quality, cost, cycle time and predictability targets.
• Lead execution from readiness through installation to closure, enforcing a first‑time‑right mindset.
• Allocate and manage site manpower, balancing workload across projects and ensuring skill readiness.
• Act as the single operational contact window for customers, internal teams and account discussions.
• Lead site‑level risk assessments, identify gaps early and drive mitigation actions.
• Develop and coach the team, monitor engagement and build a pipeline of future leaders.
• Drive KPI performance, lead improvement initiatives (A3, RCA, standardisation) and optimise processes.

Required profile

• Science or Engineering background.
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading groups or teams.
• Proven experience interfacing with customers and managing expectations.
• Legal authorization to access controlled technology under US Export Administration Regulations.
