Technical Trainer – PDC Application

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing. The Technical Trainer – PDC Application will deliver specialized technical training both on‑site at Applied Materials facilities and at customer locations worldwide, requiring frequent domestic and international travel. The role ensures training courses meet safety standards and align with product specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Present and facilitate technical training courses for internal teams and customers, managing classroom and lab activities to achieve course objectives.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge, develop and update training documentation, and certify trainees on multiple platforms and safety modules.
• Provide technical expertise for system repairs, ensure training systems are functional and equipped with required safety retrofits.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to develop new procedures, best known methods, and first‑chamber builds.

Required profile

• Experience as a Process Support Engineer or within a Process Diagnostic Center (PDC) environment.
• Demonstrated conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline with basic knowledge of related fields.
• Ability to lead small projects, mentor junior instructors, and resolve customer satisfaction issues.
