Strategic Sourcing Manager – Cable & Connector Procurement

About the role

AMD is seeking a Procurement Strategic Buyer to manage cable and connector supply for its Nangang office in Taiwan. The role focuses on quoting suppliers, ensuring material readiness, and mitigating supply chain risks throughout the product design phases.

Key responsibilities

• Quote cable, connector, and thermal suppliers for costed BOMs and NPI development costs.
• Manage raw material readiness, track shortages, and coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers and functional teams.
• Maintain and update BOM and part numbers across design milestones.
• Release forecasts and demand orders, negotiate delivery schedules, and secure material supply.
• Collaborate with suppliers on risk management plans for material readiness.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in ODM/OEM manufacturing or server system solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proficiency in English; Mandarin bilingualism preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, multitasking, and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V‑LOOKUP) and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
