Strategic Project Management Manager

About the role

Astellas is seeking a Strategic Project Management Manager to lead the planning and execution of high‑impact strategic initiatives. The role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects deliver measurable business results and align with the company’s patient‑centric values.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Lead, Strategic Planning and Operations in defining adaptable growth strategies.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute multiple strategic initiatives across the organization.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment on project goals.
• Develop project roadmaps, identify resource needs, and monitor progress, risks, and issues.
• Provide recommendations for corrective actions and escalate risks when necessary.
• Prepare and deliver reporting, communication, and collaboration materials to drive engagement across affiliates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (medical‑related or MBA preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Proven ability to think strategically and co‑create initiatives with cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering business impact through strategic projects.
• Strong influence skills with senior management without formal authority.
• Excellent planning, risk management, organisational, and problem‑solving abilities.
